Well I’m a happy owner of a PS5 now. Lol. Now I can choose from 3 devices. PC, Xbox series X and a PS5. Downing some games atm. Bought the disc version with God of War: Ragnarok. I’m now able to buy 2nd hand games as well. Nice addition of course. Had the digital version in mind but both the disc version after all. I have the luck my 3 weeks vacation is just started so plenty of time to put the PS5 to the test.
Happy gaming you all.

If you're planning on having a decent size collection of PS5 games, you may also want to invest in an internal SSD expansion. As the default PS5 hard drive isn't that big. But if you're only going to get a few games for it, then you should be fine. Internal SSD's for it can be pricey.
I have a feeling your vacation time will be well spent.

Yeah nice console. Looks more next gen than the Xbox Series x. At least the ui. I will buy a decent extra SSD indeed. Already read about it. 800gb is a bit on the low side nowadays. Games are quickly over the 100gb. Where are the days you could fit a game in 16kb. Lol..

Great time . We had a little black and white tv and pong. No I don’t wanna go back but to be honest, the games I played in the early days were low on GFX but great on strory. These days the games are awesome on GFX but most sucks story wise.

To be honest, the Xbox looks like something you'd see in a museum, with a priceless ming vase or a marble sculpture of someone's head sitting on top of it. You know, the rectangular box-like base.. (technical name is a plinth, or just a pedestal)
Games were much simpler back in those times. But unfortunately, if you wanted to complete a game, you had to be prepared to slog it out in one sitting, lol. No game saves back then.

Those where the days. That said, I’m glad we’re having awesome games and save games.

PS5 hard drive expansion i picked up last week. 2Tb.
The SSD i originally wanted to get, (a Corsair brand drive with a heatsink built in) the shop didn't have in stock. So the guy found this one for me that they did have in stock. Now, i am concerned about the heatsink he chose, as i've since read somewhere that it may not fit the PS5's expansion bay. So i'm not sure what i'll do if that happens. Not really in a position to trim anything down.. Don't really want to run it without one.

The SSD i wanted to buy was the Corsair MP600 PRO LPX. That one seems to be popular, as it has a heatsink built in, and it's designed to fit the PS5 expansion bay. So that's probably your best choice. But there are others out there that are compatible with the PS5. Some have a heatsink, some don't. Just have to do some looking around and find something that suits your budget.

Technically, i didn't buy it. It was a birthday present i'd asked for. And no, i didn't get an Xbox, lol. It's for the pc. For AMS 2 on the pc. I had originally bought a cheap-ish Xbox style pc gamepad a month or 2 ago, but the sticks on it were being difficult. So i borrowed one of those off a friend, and it was much better. I can finally play the damn game with some sort of confidence now.
And yes, i know the keyboard is a bit grubby, lol.

Got some new tyres for my car today. Set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5's. It was a case of 'i got them cause i needed to, not cause i wanted to', lol. Previous tyres were fitted in 2011, and while the tread wear was fine, they were just old and had cracks in them. They actually didn't pass a recent rego check. But the mechanic doing the check passed it for me, as long as i sorted out some new tyres for it. But, the guys at the tyre place discovered the car also needs new bushes on the front lower control arms, as those are most likely the original ones, and are old and worn. So i gotta get that sorted out too.
