Wow... that's some amazing stuff 👍 Thanks. Had the v3 pedals in my mind but after reading a lot of reviews telling that the break pedal is perhaps even better than on the v3”s I decided that the v2 is fine as well. and the round rim is the cheapest available but for my purpose more than sufficient. I’m very curious how the DD feels and how the McLaren V2 behave. I had the v1 at the time and was really great but got a refund due to the known shifter problems. this evening I’ll try to mount the gear to the stand.. You are going to love that wheelbase mate! Enjoy, brilliant set-up you've got yourself.

That McLaren V2 rim can't be beaten for the price, really nice to use.

I opened a topic on the AMS forum regarding my new setup, no answer thus far, perhaps somebody here a clue? see underneath the post from the AMS forum, _———— since today I’m a proud owner of a CSL DD PRO 8nm wheelbase. Installed it today, together with the CSL Elite v2 pedals and a McLaren GT3 v2 wheel and the CSL p1 v2 round wheel. Feels great to be back in the sim race world. But I have a little problem with the wheel/base. If I recall it correct, I had the same with my CSW v2.5. But can’t remember if it was fixed with FFB settings or an other “trick”. Anyhow, The problem is as follows, when I suddenly make a move with the wheel,(with both wheels I have) thus from center I rotate the wheel quickly left or right, there is a little backlash. When I suddenly turn, it feels like the wheel has some free space before it clamps to the shaft of the wheel base so it rotates. I hope that makes sense. The wheel is firmly attached, there is no slack so far I can feel. But a sudden movement makes it feel like there is a backlash. As said, I had this with my CSW v2.5 as well. This was fixed somehow. I believe. Settings in the driver. anybody here a clue to fix this?

The McLaren rim is the most comfortable I've ever owned.. superb in endurance races etc. Re: My avatar.. I think going from Forum Gimp (at the old place) to Admin (on here) has actually made my head get bigger..

Just acquired this (not so) little beauty. 1/12 scale, super detailed, God knows how long it will take me to build it but I intend to take my time and enjoy every step.

I bought a new keyboard, the other day, trying out MX brown keys again after me not liking them at all about 10 or so years ago.
Happy to report that I am loving the Ducky One 2 TKL RGB-LED and the MX-brown switches. Only small dislikes are the somewhat unreadable legends the "Page up/down", "Paste" and "Pos 1" keys and the poor spread of the backlight in the space bar (which came with a tiger print on my keyboard because it was made in 2022, the Chinese year of the tiger).

So earlier in the week, i found out my local game shop was having a sale. And asked mum to get Horizon: Forbidden West for me, as it was on sale for a good price, and to put it away for my birthday. Not sure why, but after buying it, she said i could have it now. My birthday's not for another 2 months, but hey, i'm not complaining, haha.
So i got Horizon: Forbidden West as a very early birthday present.
Also, quick question for all. Do we want a general gaming photo/screenshot thread on here? So people can post cool screens and photos they take in any games they have?

^ I don't know if you ever played the first Horizon game, but that one was great. I loved it. And from what i've played & seen in Forbidden West so far, i'm really enjoying it.

Ordered an LG 27GP850P-B UltraGear 27" 165Hz IPS monitor. Looked for a 32inch but the PPI is to low to my liking. 1440p 27inch is the sweet spot I guess. besides that, I don’t like a to big monitor on my desk in our tiny house. So 27inch is fine. Also nice for my Xbox Series X and soon to order PS5. happy gaming guys..

Noice! Are you just using one monitor or do you use a multiscreen setup with your PC? I for one couldn't possibly live with just one monitor again. And I also agree that 27" pretty much is the best compromise for a reasonable sized desk.

And I also agree that 27" pretty much is the best compromise for a reasonable sized desk. Thanks. I come from a triple setup. Loved it big time. Due to a move to a tiny apartment, I do not have the space for a triple setup anymore. Crying out loud. I had so much fun with my setup. Sold the whole setup and moved. After 3 months I couldn’t do longer without racing so I bought a simple wheel stand and an CSL DD Pro and 2 wheels, and now a more decent monitor. Had a good one, an Iiyama but that is a DTP screen not a gaming screen. only 59hz. Bought an Xbox series x as well. And ordered a PS5 and PSVR2 just to be able to race in VR. That I really do miss the most. The immersion of sitting in the car and on the track instead of in front. I heard that GT7 does have a dramatic AI so that is a bit of a bummer. But to be able to race in VR makes me happy..
