Let me guess... Deer on the menu this evening? 😜 Not for me I'm afraid.. I cannot stand venison.. or any other game tbh. I'm sure the dog wouldn't say no.. but she was already pretty full from munching a huge pile of horse shit in the fields on the way up there.. noice. She'd also rolled about in fresh fox poop and jumped up on the wife when I got her home for a sleep.. hahaha. She was absolutely stinking.. aye, the dug.. no the wife

Found a few new country walks right at the top of the village I live in.. so I've been exploring with the wee dug. Spotted a few deer this afternoon.. always nice to see them in a continually dwindling green belt area. I live in an area that borders the Royal National Park, and deer were a frequent sight around here over the years. They're assholes, lol. They wander out of the bush, into the streets and eat people's gardens & flowers. Then poo all over your front lawn. And many times i've nearly hit them with my car while driving home from somewhere late at night, as they suddenly dart out in front of you. Haven't seen that many of them in recent times, so there may have been a cull or something to reduce their numbers. Then again, i don't get out that much these days, lol.

They are a nightmare for running out in front of traffic.. it's usually around dawn or dusk here when they move from their night-time hideaways to foraging/grazing territory.. more often than not over a main bloody road and out from a dense, dark treeline. That just reminded me of the time my wife asked if venison was deer.. and I replied 'Well it's certainly not cheap love'..

A replica of the prettiest car ever made - someone must have spent a lot of time and money on this project.

Savoury, not sure if you follow soccer at all, but the Scottish women's team played ours over in England. They beat us 1-0. Match was on tv earlier (late night)

I'm a huge Aberdeen FC and Scotland fan.. we call it 'fitba' up here though lol. Saw the goal earlier.. belter. Must admit our men's team cuffing the Spanish 2-0 at Hampden the other week was a bit more exciting.

Must admit our men's team cuffing the Spanish 2-0 at Hampden the other week was a bit more exciting. I only saw bits and pieces of the match, as i was watching something else at the time. Next time i flicked over, it had just finished and still had the full time score on screen. I don't mind a bit of soccer here and there, i'll often watch our Socceroos play whenever they're on, and sometimes watch an A-League match or two. But i don't really follow it religiously, lol. However, i did play for my local club for about 10 years during my childhood and into my mid-late teens. Could be why i don't mind it.

It's way too quiet in here for my liking.. I have been a little busy this week though.. finally got around to building us a sorely needed log store. I'll actually get to use my greenhouse again (which was full of scrap wood for the firepit).. yay!

Looks like it lacks a "Look, I´ve just made"-thread.

And those bits of wood that were spared from the fire now provide temporary shelter for those which are doomed to burn..
I've been busy lately, and haven't really been able to get on here much.

So here's what i've been busy with lately. Couple of days last week, and Monday & Wednesday this week, my work colleague/boss/partner in crime and myself have been working at a local high school. While the school holidays are on, we're pulling all the old lights out of their hall & stage area, and putting some fancy new ones in. Doing it in 2 phases. Phase 1 is the lights above the stage, which we're doing at the moment. Phase 2 is happening in the next lot of school holidays around June/July, and will be all the lights hanging in the main hall. The big part of the job, lol. We also had to pull down this big old projector screen they didn't need anymore, which weighs about the same as a small car..
And here's some lights we set up and were testing today. One on the left is a mover. Fancy light, lol. Spins, moves, changes colour, all controlled from the lighting desk.

Hi folks.. sorry I've been AWOL for a long time. We've had a lot of family stuff going on recently and just haven't been able to pursue much else.
My father-in-law has had some serious health issues which have involved prolonged hospital stays.. then being cared for at home.. back to hospital etc etc. Sadly, he took a major turn for the worse last week and was admitted into dedicated palliative care on Friday afternoon and passed away that evening. It's been taking up most of our lives and I've been unable to spend much time with the 'outside world'.
Thought I should let you know that I haven't just abandoned or forgotten about you all.
We'll have a few more taxing weeks ahead, but hopefully I can return to some 'normality' soon.
Take care guys and hope everyone is well.
