Because Tank started a fun Lego thread on the old forum, and it should continue to live on. And to kick things off, here's 2 images i don't think i posted on the old board. Remember the 3d render i did up of the T-Rex attacking a city? Well, i also did 2 other renders of it at the time. This one, where T-Rex has bitten a car in half, and parts are falling off it:
And this one, with Lego Batman photobombing. What a jerk..
Let the Lego thread continue.

I did a search just now to see what that set looks like, as i don't know much about it. Does look nice though, lot of detail to it.

So i have a bunch of my older, early Lego renders on my pc here that i haven't posted on the old forum. Mainly cause it's old work, i was possibly still learning a thing or two, and maybe they don't look as good, hahaha. But, would anyone like me to share them here?

Ok, here's some of my older renders. I'll space them out over a few posts. Some of these use a fancy HDRI background, and some just use an image on a flat surface as a backdrop, with a light added to the scene. Like an old skool Hollywood movie set. My friend made all these models, except the old Technic space shuttle and the Star Wars AT-ST in this first batch. Those ones are both my work.
This little 4x4 was the first render i ever did, when i was still working out the best way to do things, lol. I had that set when i was a kid.
Look at the evil bastards, shooting at that poor group of people there..
This one sat on the computer for a while, cause i couldn't find a good airport environment to put it in. And then i found this grass airstrip HDRI.

For a moment there I thought that should have been posted in the GT7 thread... PS - Fantastic renders, the Caterham is really good.

For a moment there I thought that should have been posted in the GT7 thread... PS - Fantastic renders, the Caterham is really good. Lol. I was surprised to see that location in the GT7 Scapes library. I first saw it and went "Ahhh, i have that spot on the pc!" I actually took a photo of my Testarossa at that spot, only cause i don't have the F40 yet. I'll post it in the GT7 thread when i get a chance.
Thanks. I wanted to put the '7' grille graphic on the front of it, like the real set has, but i couldn't find a decent image to use. So i left it blank. More images incoming tomorrow.

That's a nice looking set. I like the interchangeable coloured stripes option it gives you. I have the old classic Mustang my friend sent me, but i'm in the process of doing new renders of it and some of my other early works. So i'll post a screen or two of the Mustang when it's done.
Here's some more of my old renders.
The background may not be geographically correct, but that was the best image i could find of a London skyline to use as a backdrop.
The 'water' in the above 2 shots was created using a rather simple method i came up with, but it's quite effective for a still shot.
Chewy is actually in the pilot's seat, just a bit hard to see him in there..
Next lot tomorrow.

Next 2 batches of images. Here's a slightly modified version of the Mustang i previously mentioned. Colour change, removed the windows, basically made it look like a car that a stuntman would use to jump over something..
My Technic go kart at the go kart track in GT5.
This one doesn't feature steerable front wheels. But i had to change that so i could pose it for this shot. Then added a little smoke behind it. Working on a new render of this model as well.
Had to make both the wheels and the wheel arch pieces for this one.
Then i made a guy in another program and put him in it..
And then i used said guy to try and replicate one of the downloadable images you get as part of the real set.

You may have noticed a VW Beetle in the previous lot of pics, that hasn't been seen yet. Well, here it is in it's original form. Fits well with the beach backdrop.
After that first one, i got the idea to strip it down a bit and turn it into Bumblebee, rolling with Optimus. Had to photoshop the Autobot logo onto the semi, as i don't know how to add graphics to a chrome material..
Then i thought 'Let's give it a rat rod overhaul' So i did. Lowered it considerably, chopped the roof down, modified the fenders to fit bigger, wider tyres, and i ripped the engine out of the F40 i previously posted, and stuck it in there. Added another air filter to it, cause why not?
So that's a collection of some of my older Lego renders.
